AFCEA NOVA provides over 30 merit-based scholarships each year to qualified students who are pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a STEM Discipline at an accredited College or University.

The scholarship application is an online document and can be filled-out in stages and saved. When complete, applicants formally submit in online and certify the accuracy of the information.

Eligibility Requirements

All applicants should review the eligibility requirements for the STEM Scholarship before beginning their application.

Required Documentation

The following documents must be received at AFCEA NOVA by the scholarship application deadline:

Documentation of Test Scores

You must submit a copy of your SATs, ACTs, GMATs, and other standardized test scores, if you have cited them on your application.

If you are sending SAT scores, you can use AFCEA NOVA's College Board organization code (6995) to have SAT scores sent directly via www.collegeboard.com. You may also send ACT materials using our ACT college code (6954).

Score sheet documents may be photocopies or reproductions, if official originals are not available.

Letters of Recommendation

You must submit two original letters of recommendations from people (non-family members) who can speak to your character and achievements. There is no pre-established template or form for the letters, but the writer must specifically recommend you for this scholarship.

Official Transcripts

You must submit anofficial copy of your transcripts from your most recent degree-granting or current educational institution. Transcripts do not need to be mailed directly from your school, but they must be official copies. AFCEA NOVA does not accept electronic versions of transcripts.

STEM Scholarship Application Open

The AFCEA NOVA Educational Foundation awards a significant number of annual merit-based scholarships to qualified students who are pursuing degrees in STEM technical fields supportive of our national security.
