Fairfax County Regional Science and Engineering FairProfessionals from government agencies and private organizations from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area participate as category judges or organizations. Each year 250 judges are needed to evaluate nearly four hundred science fair projects in a wide variety of categories ranging from plants sciences to physics and astronomy. Chairpersons for each category and Grand Prize judges are also needed.Interested in Volunteering?We are currently looking for judges for the Fairfax County Regional Science Fair on Saturday, March 12, 2016. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Linda Drake, AFCEA NOVA VP of Education.Fairfax County Regional Science and Engineering Fair InformationThe Fairfax County Regional Science and Engineering Fair is scheduled for the weekend of March 11-13, 2016.The science fair will again be located at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VAThe schedule for organization judging on Saturday, March 12th:

  • 7:45-8:45am Check-in, coffee, and refreshments
  • 8:45-9:00am Orientation
  • 9:00-12:00pm Organization judging completed around noon

 The awards ceremony for the students will be on Sunday, March 13th, from 3:00-4:30pm. You are welcome to attend, although this is not required For more information, click here 

STEM Scholarship Application Open

The AFCEA NOVA Educational Foundation awards a significant number of annual merit-based scholarships to qualified students who are pursuing degrees in STEM technical fields supportive of our national security.
